Catalina Acosta-Carrizosa

Catalina Acosta-Carrizosa is the Special Projects Manager at sokoloff + associates llc, where she focuses on developing Legacy Projects, coordinating publications, organizing curated travels and special events, and conducting art historical research for various private collections.


Before joining S+A Ms. Acosta served as a Research Assistant at the Museum of Modern Art in New York,  as a curatorial assistant at Sullivan Galleries at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, as a Research Assistant at Contemporary Art Daily,  and interned at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, among others. As an independent curator, Ms Acosta has organized several exhibitions promoting emerging contemporary talents while engaging with ongoing academic discourses. Most recently she curated exhibitions for the Colombian Ministry of Culture and Harvard University.


Ms. Acosta holds a Masters in Modern Art History, Theory and Criticism and a Masters in Arts Administration and Policy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
